The 100th anniversary reunion of the Daily Orange took place in September of 2003, and it was to be rated a four-star success by anyone who was there. Here are just a few of the reviews that came in:
"Is anything in this world really perfect? This weekend was. I just lived it and I still can't believe it."
"Good thing I have a wonderful life to return to or I couldn't have borne leaving all of you. What an amazing and magical weekend."
"Thank you, Irving Templeton (Daily Orange founder in 1903), wherever you are, for starting all of this."
"I did not anticipate such joy. It is a treasure."
"I didn't expect the weekend to be so spiritual and magical, but it was."
"I will never get over you people. And I am awfully glad."
(And from a jealous member of another class:) "I was wondering if I could become an honorary 1970's member."
So we're going to try to do it again, October 3-5, 2008, in Syracuse. Keep the dates open, and details will follow on this page.
Many photos from the good old days and from the reunion have been posted. To get to the photography section of the Web site, click here. If you have any photos you'd like to share this way, send them along.
I've also started a page for books written by our group, which you can access by clicking here.
And feel free to visit the official site of the D.O. Alumni Association, alumni.dailyorange.com, for news that doesn't concern our group directly. It doesn't do much updating, sadly.
